Is Global Golf Legit? How Buying Used Golf Clubs There Saves You Hundreds

Is Global Golf Legit? How Buying Used Golf Clubs There Saves You Hundreds

The short answer: yes, Global Golf is legit, and buying used clubs there is one of the easiest ways to play current gear for a lot less. Every used club is graded for condition, you get a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, and you can even try a club on the course for 14 days before you buy. A driver that launched at $599.99 two years ago can be had used for under $400, and this year’s models already show up used for $100–$150 under new.

Why We Recommend Global Golf

This one is personal. Jack, who runs Divot Depot, has bought three clubs from Global Golf: an older Titleist driver, a Cobra 3-wood and a Cleveland wedge. Each one cost far less than buying new, and the experience was great every time. That is a big reason we link to Global Golf when a club isn’t sold in our own store.

What makes them stand out from a random marketplace listing is the system around the used clubs: a clear condition grade, a long return window, the option to try before you buy, and trade-in credit for the clubs you already own.

How Much You Actually Save

Golf clubs lose value fast once the next model comes out, but the technology barely changes year to year. Reviewers found only small gains from the 2025 to the 2026 drivers, which is exactly why used and last-year clubs are such good value. A few real examples from Global Golf in October 2026:

DriverLaunch / new priceGlobal Golf price

How Global Golf Grades Used Clubs

Every used club gets a condition rating, so you know what you are getting before it arrives:

GradeWhat it means
MintNo previous use; at most minimal shop wear
ExcellentVery limited use: minor ball marks, light sole scratches, no notable crown or shaft wear
Very GoodPlayed and cared for; cosmetic wear typical for its age, no effect on performance
ValuePlayed often but fully playable; cosmetic wear like face and sole marks, dings or light rust

Clubs rated Poor (unplayable) are not sold. Our take: Very Good is the sweet spot for most golfers, since the wear is cosmetic and the price drop is real. Pick Excellent or Mint for a driver you will look at every tee shot, and Value for a backup wedge or a beginner set.

Try It on the Course First: U-Try

Global Golf’s U-Try program lets you play a club for 14 days before deciding. It costs $25 per club (or $50 for an iron set), shipping both ways is free, and if you keep it, the trial fee comes off the purchase price. You can try two brands at a time, which makes it a cheap way to settle a Qi4D-vs-GTS2 debate on your own course instead of a hitting bay.

Returns, Guarantee and Warranty

  • 90-day satisfaction guarantee: not happy with a purchase, return it within 90 days for full Global Golf credit, minus original shipping and a $9.99 return label fee.
  • Used clubs return for credit, not cash: preowned returns get Global Golf store credit, which does not expire. New, unused items with tags can be refunded to your card.
  • Two returns per purchase: enough to swap a loft or shaft flex if the first one isn’t right.
  • Certified Preowned warranty: Certified Preowned clubs carry a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects. Standard used clubs are covered by the 90-day guarantee.
  • Low price guarantee: they match authorized internet dealers on in-stock items (not marketplace sellers like eBay or Amazon third parties).

Trade In Your Old Clubs

Global Golf’s trade-in program gives you credit for clubs you already own, which you can put toward new or used gear. If you are upgrading a driver or iron set, trading in the old one is the easiest way to stretch the savings further.

Tips for Buying Used Clubs

  • Match the specs, not just the model. Check loft, shaft flex, length and hand (right or left) on every listing. A great driver in the wrong flex is still the wrong driver.
  • Buy one generation back. Last year’s flagship usually gives you nearly all of this year’s performance for far less. Our 2026 driver comparison shows what actually changed.
  • Watch the free-shipping thresholds: preowned club orders ship free at $179+, new products at $99+.
  • Use U-Try when torn between two clubs. $25 is cheap insurance against a $500 mistake.
  • Check the grade on wedges. Groove wear matters more on wedges than on drivers, so lean toward Excellent or Very Good.
